Job Description

​Assisting guest with use of our water slides at Disney's Blizzard Beach water park. In addition, helping set up the park before it opens and closing the park everyday.

The program is a paid internship and is paid hourly, so the more you work the more you earn. In addition all employees of the company get complimentary admission to all four major theme parks on property. All recreation cast members (lifeguards, slide operators, etc.) get complimentary access to Disney's water parks as well (Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard beach). You also get the chance to experience new attractions before they officially open (such as the new Pandora section of Animal Kingdom).

Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Prolonged exposure to weather elements
• Strong Swimming skills
• Providing first aid and basic life support in an event of a guest emerency
• Maintain a safe, clean and well organized environment through consistent monitoring
  
• Maintaining Safety Standards
• Answering Guest Questions 
• Ability to stand for extend periods of time

Achievements

During my time working at Blizzard Beach I was recognized several times by my leaders. I earned multiple four keys cards, which is placed on my permanent record card within the Walt Disney Company. In addition, I won slide op of the week during one of my weeks while working, allowing me to pick the slides I wanted to operate for the day. In addition, I learned the skills needed to deal with otherwise unfriendly guest and how to resolve situations
